Beyond the Bar Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is a collaborative effort between New Rock Legal Society, Newton County Bar Association, Rockdale County Bar Association and Walton County Bar Association for the benefit of graduating high school seniors that will further their education in an accredited college or technical school.

Eligible candidates are graduating high school seniors that reside and attend a high school in either, Newton, Rockdale or Walton County. Candidates will submit a completed application, essay and provide a high school transcript to Beyond the Bar Scholarship Foundation by 4:00 pm on Friday, March 1, 2024.

The 2024 Law Day theme is “Voices of Democracy,” recognizing that in democracies, the People rule.

On a separate sheet of paper please write an essay (250 – 500 words) concerning these cornerstones of democracy, how the people’s voice has evolved our country, and what voices are on the horizon for change.
